Darrell Ayres
Praise & Worship Ministerbcc@blancocowboychurch.com830-833-1596Darrell Ayers served 21 years in law enforcement. Starting out as a correction’s officer for Hays County. From 2000 until 2006, Darrell served as a Deputy Constable in Hays County, Texas and in 2006, he was elected as the Constable serving two and one-half terms in such capacity. Darrell retired from law enforcement in 2019.
From 2005 until 2010 and while serving as Constable, Darrell became a Guest Minister at the Blanco Cowboy Church. In 2010, Darrell was ordained as the Pastor of the Blanco Cowboy Church and served as the Pastor until 2021. When Darrell retired as the Pastor, he agreed to return in a Guest Minister capacity because a piece of his heart will always be with the Blanco Cowboy Church.
Darrell has been playing music since he was a teenager and loves Rock & Roll, Oldies, and Country Music. Darrell started playing professionally in 1975 and in 1980 during a music tour throughout the Mid-Western United States, he was saved. After returning home, he started playing music in a local church, becoming the Praise Team Leader. While pastoring at the Blanco Cowboy Church, Darrell became involved with the worship team eventually becoming the leader.
Although Darrell loves and has played professional music, his real passion is Praise and Worship music. For Darrell Praise and Worship in a service are just as important as the sermons.
BOARD MEMBERS
The Board provides oversight of our programs and the organization’s financial health. As dedicated volunteers, they are an essential part of our leadership team and our efforts to responsibly raise funds and awareness.
Each of our board members brings something unique to our church. From seasoned cowboys to community leaders, they’re a diverse group united by their faith and their commitment to our church and community.
- Leadership: Our elders lead by example, living out their faith in their daily lives.
- Guidance: They provide spiritual guidance to our congregation, helping us grow in our faith.
- Decision Making: They make key decisions for the church.
- Community Outreach: They spearhead our efforts to serve the wider community, living out the Christian call to love our neighbors.
This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of an Elder, he desires a good work. An Elder then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?; not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil. Moreover, he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
1 Timothy 3: 1-7
